                                           About the Speaker:

“The Sky is Not the Limit:  My 132 Days off the Planet”
Jerry Linenger is one of the highest rated speakers that we think you will enjoy.  Jerry spent 132 days off the planet as an astronaut and recounts not only the exciting & hazardous event of his mission, but he also candidly focuses on the personal relations and feeling these events provoked…feeling of isolation, frustration, and fear counter pointed by self-reliance, determination, and courage.  Jerry survived an out-of-control spacecraft tumbling through darkness, low oxygen, the worst fire ever to occur in space, and a language challenge with fellow crewmembers that spoke only Russian.  His message is genuine and spoken by someone who has put his life on the line. To review more of this speaker click here to review a bio of the speaker or for additional information or you can go to www.washingtonspeakers.com/jlinenger.

Missoula Chamber of Commerce Accepting Nominations for Annual Business Award

It’s time to nominate Missoula businesses for the Annual Circle of Excellence Award.  The Circle of Excellence Award was first presented in 1997 following a long tradition of a former award called The Champion Award.  The Circle of Excellence award is the Chamber’s most prestigious award given to a business, which meets high standards of community involvement and social responsibility.

CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD
The criteria for the Circle of Excellence Award place primary emphasis on the following:
Length of time in business, examples of time and dollars donated to the community (annually and over the past 5, 10 or 15 years), reinvestment back into the community through facility expansion or remodel, list of organizations supported by your business over the years, volunteer involvement by employees, and any additional information you feel the selection committee should know.

Nominated Businesses are required to complete a Nomination Form (CLICK HERE  to download a nomination form) and gather any additional information on their business that would be helpful to the selection committee.  The 2008 Circle of Excellence Award recipient will be honored at the Chamber's 121st Annual Banquet.

Nominations are due by Wednesday, July 16, 2008
