VISITOR INFORMATION
Lodging
Hotels provide sleeping accommodations on a
room/suite basis and feature a front desk for customer
service. Each guest room must have a private bath and/or
shower. Many hotels have additional facilities like a
pool, exercise room or sauna. Hotels are usually located
near other facilities.
Bed and Breakfasts provide short-term lodging in
private homes or small buildings converted for this
purpose. Usually occupied by the owner or operator, Bed
and Breakfasts contain no more than 20 rooms. A
continental or full-breakfast must be offered and
included in the room rate.
Extended stay suites and hotels focus on
attracting guests for extended periods of time. They are
fully furnished and come with full kitchens (not just
kitchenettes) and laundry facilities/service. These
accommodation providers must offer weekly and/or monthly
rates. Daily rates are optional.
Inns operate much like hotels but are smaller in
size and capacity. Inns must have a staffed front desk
and consist of less than 30
rooms.
In general, the entrance to bedrooms is made through a
lobby or other common room. Breakfast is often offered,
but not mandatory.
Campgrounds provide space and/or hookups for
tents, tent trailers, recreational vehicles, or 5th
wheels.
