Mark Stelling

A Montana native, Mark has been recreating around the state since taking his first steps. From mountaineering, skiing and climbing to floating rivers and biking trails, he never bores of the countless outdoor opportunities available in the region. Graduating from Great Falls High School in 2007, Mark didn’t venture far and attend MSU in Bozeman for 7 years (questionably long) but acquired a couple bachelor’s degrees and a Masters of Architecture in the process. Summers were spent as a wildland fire fighter for the DNRC in Lincoln, MT. Trying something new, Mark moved to Colorado to work at an architecture firm after university. This lasted less than two years, from frustration with recreationalist congestion and purchasing a financially unhealthy amount of concert tickets. Mark took a job with MMW Architects and moved back to Missoula where he quickly settled into the community. Nearly ten years later, Mark is a principal architect at MMW and still gets out to recreate as often as possible, now sharing those memorable experiences with his wife and two young children. You’ll often find him out running the trails around Missoula, and he still buys too many concert tickets.
