Jeff Kuchel LM38 Chair Graduate, LM 35
Jeff Kuchel joined Crowley Fleck as an attorney in 2013 and is a member of the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group. Jeff has substantial experience litigating complicated commercial matters in several areas, including real property law, real estate malpractice, and financial industry litigation. Jeff grew up in Florence and graduated from Florence Carlton High School. He then moved to Tucson, Arizona and attended the University of Arizona for two years. In 1999, Jeff enlisted with the Arizona Army National Guard and subsequently served on active duty for several years. Following his time in the military, Jeff worked in healthcare finance while also going to school. Jeff completed his bachelor’s degree from Northern Arizona University and returned to Montana to attend law school. Jeff joined Crowley Fleck after graduating from the University Of Montana School Of Law in 2013. Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife, Meagan, a nurse practitioner in Missoula, his son, Preston, a high school student at Big Sky High School, and their three dogs, Jack, Norman, and Tess. Jeff serves on the Board of Directors of the Missoula Downtown Association, volunteers with the Fourth Judicial District Veterans Court, and is a Reserve Deputy with the Missoula County Sheriff’s Department.
Krista Clawson LM39 Chair Elect Graduate, LM 18
Krista was born and raised in Missoula. After graduating from Loyola Sacred Heart High School, she attended the University of Montana and pursued an education in History and Journalism. After attending college, she was hired by the Missoula Chamber of Commerce as an Executive Assistant, and soon after promoted to Director of Program and Events. She enjoyed 12 years at the Chamber and loved connecting people though special programs and events. She has also worked in the beauty industry planning events for Montana and Wyoming cosmetologists and beauty professionals. Krista Clawson currently serves as a commercial account manager for Republic Services in Missoula. She works with business owners and property managers to help identify their waste and recycling needs and provide customized solutions.
Krista has two children. Elizabeth, a junior at Eastern Washington University and studying to become a Physician’s Assistant and Brady, who is a Project Manager for a prominent Construction Company based in Missoula, While not working, she enjoys spending time on her property with family & friends, hunting, fishing and exploring Montana.
Krista is honored to have been selected to serve as Vice-Chair of LM 38. She loves working with volunteers and members of the community and feels so blessed to support Leadership Missoula in this role.

Julie Maloney joined PayneWest Insurance in August of 2021 as a personal lines sales executive. Julie, along with her team, guide clients through the complexities of insurance and processes. She has a background in sales and management positions in a variety of industries from food service distribution, telecommunications, pharmaceutical sales, long-haul trucking safety, technology, and insurance.
Julie is an active member of the Missoula community, and has served as the Chair of Leadership Missoula (37) as well as the Missoula Chamber Red Coats. She also serves on the Chamber Board as well as the Dubbers Care and City Club Missoula boards. Julie has officiated high school basketball since 1998. She was awarded the Missoula Downtown Association’s Volunteer of the Year Award in 2019. In 2021, Julie was honored to be recognized as the George Award winner by the Missoula Chamber of Commerce.
A Montana native, Julie moved to Missoula in 2003 and is a graduated of Carroll College with bachelor’s degrees in public relations and communications. She enjoys spending her free time with her family whether at the lake, at family gatherings or sporting events. Additionally, she spends her free time following her nephews’ activities (Go Griz and Golden Gophers) and community service.
