Shopping In Missoula

Missoula is home to western Montana’s largest indoor shopping mall, national discount and department stores and dozens of interesting downtown stores and boutiques. Missoula also hosts a variety of farmers markets and downtown events.

Southgate Mall

Southgate Mall is your most convenient Missoula shopping destination. With more than 100 stores and 10,000 brands, you’ll find something for everyone in the family and for every occasion. The largest mall in western Montana, Southgate Mall stores offer women’s apparel, shoes, kid and teen clothing, jewelry, sporting goods, appliances, electronics, and more. Browse department stores, specialty shops, and boutiques. When you’re ready for a break, pick from some of the most popular Missoula dining options, all under the same roof. This is great Missoula shopping and Missoula dining in one convenient location.

North Reserve

The corridor on North Reserve offers an extensive collection of retail therapy options ranging from national chain stores, like Costco, Lowe’s Home Improvement and Sportsman’s Warehouse, Famous Dave’s and Buffalo Wild Wings to local flavor like Direct Source, Rowdy’s Cabin, Romaine’s Restaurant and the Montana Club. Hip Strip

Missoula’s Hip Strip stretches from Hellgate High School to the Higgins Street bridge. But you won’t want to just drive by what is a collection of the most unique shops in all of Missoula. From amazing food at The Silk Road, flowers and gifts at The Bitteroot Flower Shop to acupuncture or a massage at PRH Community Acupuncture. Make sure to end your adventures with a pint of your favorite local beer at Kettlehouse Brewing Company.

Southgate Crossing

Missoula’s newest and fastest growing retail area is near the South Hills between 23rd and Reserve.  South Crossing is now home to Cabela’s, Boot Barn and more.  This growing area also offers a variety of restaurants including MacKenzie River Pizza Company, Noodles and Company, Paradise Falls and City Brew Coffee.

Missoula Farmer's Market

Located at the north end of Higgins Ave in Circle Square (near the red X’s), the Missoula Farmers’ Market includes fresh local produce, flowers, baked goods and coffee provided by over 100 vendors.

Clark Fork Market

The Clark Fork Market is located under the Higgins Bridge, in the Riverside Parking Lot, just east of Caras Park in downtown Missoula. The Market provides a lively and scenic setting for buying locally-produced fruits and vegetables, meats, poultry, fish, organic dairy products, plants, flowers, fresh handcrafted pastas, baked goods, honey, salsa, jams and jellies, wool goods, and other wares from area farmers, ranchers, and chefs. Breakfast, lunch, and many tasty beverages are also available.

Missoula People's Market

The Missoula People’s Market features local and regional artists and craftsman selling a wide range of hand-made items including guitars, bags and accessories, hats and other apparel, pottery and ceramics, woodcrafts and metal creations, jewelry, art, and much, much more. The Market is located on Pine Street, just off Higgins Ave, in downtown Missoula.
